Israeli Strike
Israel did an airstrike on Iran, that Trump knew about, but technically did not aid. However, Trump did warn on Truth Social that if Iran does not accept the a deal, it will only get worse.
"Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE."

Wait till you see the upcoming war with Iran:
Financial Position
a) The US is in far worse financial shape. Even US bonds have been downgraded by official institutions, as Trump abandons his chance to reign in the debt from his promises with Elon Musk.
Strategic Positions
b) Iran is in far better military shape than Saddam was. They are surrounded by strategic mountains. They can cripple oil going through the gulf. Iran has ethnic unity, while as Saddam Hussein presided over split ethnic Sunni-Shite warfare.
Moral Excuses
c) Iraq war 2 was after 9/11, so at least the US had a theoretical moral excuse (even if it was lies). While as this war is on the back of Israel’s human rights violations, that have low legitimacy among the rest of the world.
Global Opinion
d) And the rest of the world isn’t gonna be happy to eat the hike in oil prices, just so Bibi can abuse Gaza. Bibi can’t even travel to Europe, due to International Criminal Court arrest warrants.
Privacy Effects
Another war would likely have privacy effects, just like 9/11 and the Patriot Act. As protecting the population from terror is the excuse for surveillance. Being anti-war is undeniably tied to being anti-privacy, as both positions look to reign in renegade and unchecked government power. We discussed this in a past podcast on the Patriot Act.
