What is the Sync Button and How's it Work?.

No Internet Calls on Start-up

The app does not make any internet calls when it first starts up, since it’s not yet known which profile you want to connect as.

When you open the app, there are no internet calls. This is because you have not identified which profile you’d like to use. And by keeping all data on your local device, it avoids connecting any two profiles as you (unless you literally open both of them at the same time during beta, while we’re still running all servers).

Only Connect on Connect

The individual profiles do NOT connect to the internet, until you hit “Connect”.

Create Profile Sync

When you hit “Create Profile”, it’s required to “Sync” to find out what countries, plans, and browsers are available. This “sync” button does NOT send any data from your setup. It purely downloads information from the web server.

Sync ID? No…

When you do a sync, the billing server is NOT assigning you a billing ID until you hit a cryptocurrency. Then and only then do you get a billing ID, but if you hit the back button, it forgets it.
