EU Thugs Demand Chat Control, As US Thugs Promote Encryption
European Union looking to ban e2ee, while the US is forced to embrace it
Opposite reactions from corrupt government thugs.
European Union
In the EU, a bill dubbed “Chat Control” by critics, seeks to ban end-to-end encryption, unless it has a backdoor for government client-side scanning. [1]
This controversial bill was originally killed, after critics pointed out the technical issues with ending encryption. [2]
Coming up on Thursday, Dec 12, there will be public voting on the issue. [3]
United States
In the US, Chinese hackers have infiltrated the phone lines,
And FBI is telling ordinary Americans to encrypt their chats. [4]
Dubbed “Salt Typhoon” these Chinese attacks have forced US law enforcement to reverse their previously harsh stance on encryption. These supposed Chinese actors have allegedly hacked multiple communications systems, in which US officials can’t stop. So instead, US thugs beg their citizens to use end-to-end encryption tools, to reduce their negligent incompetence. [4]
Therefore,
We should all be grateful for Chinese hackers, as they have forced political leaders to realize the problems with forcing insecure technology on their citizens.
THE CHINESE ARE LOOKING AT THE EU AND THINKING “this is gonna be awesome”
Insane Logic
Now the justification for this EU ban on encryption is to “save the children”. They claim it’ll stop child porn.
But if they ban all web encryption, how do I even know that the government said this? I need httpS SSL encryption to know this is an official government proclamation.
If they allow httpS encryption, then child pornographers can just run their own VPS and shadowsocks into it with chat apps on Linux. While the general population won’t bother and lose privacy.
So the only way to really enforce this is if the government will still have encryption, but not the rest of us.
And this is supposed to save the children?!? As though politicians never did anything wrong, right Jeffrey Epstein?
