Ubuntu & TuxedoOS Support for HydraVeil

Old Article

This article was for prior to the automation of the entire process for Ubuntu and TuxedoOS.

Automated Tool

These steps are now entirely automated inside the app by enabling the “Bwrap policy”. Go to “Options” then “Bwrap Policy”

Manual Instructions

If the user does not want to use the automated tool, then these are the steps to manually do the same thing.

1) Open up a terminal window, and run the following command:

kwrite /etc/apparmor.d/bwrap

2) Paste the following snippet into the text editor:

abi <abi/4.0>,
include <tunables/global>

profile bwrap /usr/bin/bwrap flags=(unconfined) {
 userns,
# Site-specific additions and overrides. See local/README for details.
 include if exists <local/bwrap>
}
Text File Version:

You can also find a txt file of this here to avoid formating issues: text file

3) Save the document.

You will be asked for your root password.

4) Open up a terminal window, and run the following command:

sudo systemctl restart apparmor.service
