Earn Your Favorite Cryptocurrency
We’re paying 30% of revenue for your node, plus upfront paying the server cost itself. This means you never pay us anything. You never have to buy a scam ponzi coin or stake it.
Instead, you pick if you want Monero or Bitcoin, and collect each month.
For a single one-time setup, you can earn a continuous stream.
Circular Parallel Economy
Cryptocurrency is supposed to be used as a currency to create a parallel economy outside the government, banks, and traditional systems.

But way too many projects print a scam VC funded coin, in the name of decentralization and privacy.
This means the initial fiat investors are the customer, and the end-user has to suffer the compliance decisions to keep the coin traded on KYC exchanges. In order to raise fiat money for their scam coin, they need to be compliant, which defeats point of defiant tech. The devs put their greed above their values.
The purpose of cryptocurrency algorithms is that it’s trustless. But if you trust the node so little, that you need an algorithm to dictate payments, then how can you trust the node to route the VPN traffic?
If everyone prints their own coin, then none of them get community, which is what gives it’s value.
It’s only because other people accept Monero or Bitcoin, that it has any meaning. The price may go up or down, but all we really have is each other.

Help Nostr
Nostr’s current main use-case is a decentralized Twitter. Having Nostr users sign VPN endpoints, is not only a great new use-case for encryption verified identity, but also expands Nostrs’ reach to the broader privacy and security ecosystems.
HydraVeil has a ton of new innovation, from fingerprint resistance without restricting Javascript, to our unique security isolation strategies.
By putting Nostr at the forefront of this, it helps more people become familiar with it’s format, and ultimately on-board new users.

“I don’t have time”
Very often people will say they don’t have time to learn or do something. But in this case, we’re actually selling time.
You see, the average person doesn’t have time to research privacy tools, setup QubesOS, or learn how to remove the telemetry from browsers. Very often people will try Tor, and find some services they like block it, and stop using it. HydraVeil provides a legitimate alternative for people who need answers, but lack the time to do so.
Very often, “freedom influencers” will promote their stuff on Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Reddit, and other controlled platforms, because they say “that’s where the people are”. But if you’re not exposing your audience to new ideas and new things, you’re keeping those people trapped.

Now if you ask those people to switch to Nostr, or if you ask them to accept cryptocurrency, they’ll say “I don’t have time”.
I got news for you, nobody is coming to save us. It’s just us man. And if the real freedom influencers like you don’t have time for geninue progress, then the empire has truly won.
It takes under an hour to setup a HydraVeil node, and I can give you support and hold your hand through it.
At the end of the day, the real obstacle for HydraVeil, Nostr, Monero, Bitcoin, and all freedom tech is not time. It’s pessimism. When you say “I don’t have time”, what you really mean is you’ve lost hope.
Low Risk
One of fears people have with being part of, or vouching for, a new thing is the risk that there is some kind of technical issue that can damage their reputation. However, if we take a closer look, we’ll see that HydraVeil utilizes and builds upon pre-existing and well-established tools, which passes most of the technical burden to international giants.
WireGuard
There are two layers. Layer 1 of HydraVeil is the same commodity WireGuard as every VPN provider. We use the Linux command “wg-quick up”, which is essentially what every single VPN provider is doing a variation of.
Increased Security of Layer 2
Even if, there is a currently unknown way that a potential hacker to compromise our layer 2, it is not logical to herd consumers to other VPNs that only have a layer 1. Especially when ANYONE’S layer VPN 1 can be taken down by ANY app even WITHOUT sudo. Why steer people to known layer 1 failures, because of potential hypotheticals on our layer 2?
OpenSSL & ed25519
We use ed25519 keys for operator identities, using the openssl command line tool. ed25519 is also used by Wireguard itself, and Signal, and Monero. By using well-established cryptography, protocols, and tools, it becomes easier to trust it for new use-cases.
But all the technology in the world, doesn’t have any meaning, if the real obstacle is in your mind.
