SimpleX Self-Host Tutorial & Script

One of the issues with SimpleX is that when you first install it, it primarily uses the developer’s own servers. This has issues with metadata privacy. We just released a video that goes over our install script on our self-hosted gitlab that teaches you how to host your own SimpleX servers on your own VPS. You can use any VPS provider, but in this video we showed how to use Kyun.host

These are called SMP & XFTP servers. Here’s our sample servers for you to connect to if you do not want to self-host:
